A2.1.-Objective and benefits for the student

a) The search engines are essential in the educational platform of Docuplay because thanks to them most of the content of their courses will come from the cloud (web), guarantee this of its permanent update and enrichment.

b) There are two types of search engines that differ in that the files whose titles are presented for possible selection by the student or are legally downloadable or only linkable.

b1) 'Download a file' means that it will be completely copied on an exclusive page, which is accessed by clicking on a link located in the corresponding row of column 1 of the Index-table of downloaded files.

- If the student tries to download a non-downloadable file, the application will prevent it with the following warning: DOWNLOAD NOT ALLOWED.

b2) Link a file´ consists of copying the title of the file and its description (size in kb, number of words, access URL…)

c) Choosing a search engine from the category Downloadable file searchers, you can download files, not just link them. It is recommended to start with Wikipedia and look for a kind of basic synthesis of each course, since on important topics it usually has quite extensive works with great critical and complementary apparatus.

d) After putting the title or key of the course in the Search box and marking the chosen search engine, a presentation of ten titles of downloadable files will be produced.

e) To deepen or expand the study of the course, there are two extensive series of subkeys, one for systematic courses or DDC and another for toponymics. On how to use search engines by subkey strengthening the key or title of each course (see resource B5.).

f) The student will examine the files whose titles the search engine shows and when it finds an interesting one for the course, click on the Download link and the complete file will be saved on an exclusive page of the same and will be recorded in the Index-table of downloaded files.

g) If the search engine chosen is for linkable files, click on the link Link and the file will not be downloaded on an exclusive page, but will be included in the Index-table of linked files, which allows you to open it and study it whenever you want. .

   h) In both cases, so that the downloaded or linked file and its row in the corresponding index-table is not deleted when the session is closed, the student must justify the reason for his selection by writing a minimum of 10 words.
